Who's That Girl?

Moment of truth!!

This is the first look at Kylie Minogue's picture after she is missing for a months from the spotlight due to treatment for a breast cancer.

She look so happy and vibrant. She still Kylie that i know with that warm smile and she look gorgeous with the new hair style. A new trend style? hmm.. remind me of Natalie Portman in V for Vendetta!

Nonetheless, I wish her a good health and continue what her doing best, rocks the world dance floor.. again, and again!

Her Showgirl tours will kick-off again in months time, check your local listings!

Madonna - Chill Out

A few years ago, I pray that Madonna one day will release "Chill Out" album. However, it never happen. So I did my own compilation on all her down tempo track. However, a few nights ago, as my downloading and searching ritual for torrent begins, I found this album and i was overjoyed and its feel like god has answered my prayer. I dig out about this album and apparently this album was done in 2004 and that was after "American Life". And the people behind this album is unknown and altho the label of the album is under Maverick (Madonna's Record Label).
In this album, 12 of the track has been given a new breath of life without ignoring the original songs. It was not craftfully done to my opinion, but it something that nice to listen to altho some track could be worth ignoring for. This album also contained a song that was released along previously with the singles. Among all tracks, my favourite is "Frozen (Band Forgotten Mix)".
Worth Listening to:
1. Frozen (Band Forgotten Mix)
2. Love Profusion (Chill Out Mix)
3. Ray of Light (Dreamy Soul Mix)
4. Wonderland (Samuel Enchantment Mix)
5. Sanctuary (Maniac's Sacred Mix)
6. If You Forget Me
7. Paradise (Not For Me) (Morning Spell Mix)
Worth To Ignore:
1. Secret (DiFrankz' 2003 Confidential Chill Out Mix)
2. Beautiful Stranger (Harington's Organ-a-pella)
3. The Power of Goodbye (Dens54 Vascoteel Remix)
4. Love Medley
Feel Good Ratings : 3.5 out 5

Pink - I'm Not Dead

Pink has never been on my must-listen-to-album after her second album. However, I managed to convinced myself and give it a shot to listen to her "I'm Not Dead" album (finally). As am writing, am pre-listened to all the tracks. As it goes along, i begin to like her style in this album. It completely different any album that she came out with. Brilliant idea to put herself back in the main stream.
The album's first single, "Stupid Girls," is a great dig at the silly behavior of the tabloid-crazed starlets in Hollywood; though on the surface it seems like a great dis song, at its core it's really an ode to female empowerment and smashing stereotypes. However, I'm personally don't quite agree as this for the first single. It should have been "Ur & Ur Hand" released as first single. It more PINK to me. Edgy, pop rock, raw and catchy tunes.
There is a few slow track in this album. "Nobody Knows" and "Dear Mr. President" is worth listen to. The latter song is one of the most poignant and touching song, which Pink performed with Indigo Girls in fully acoustic style. Just backing up with acoustic guitar, Pink rails against President Bush, attacking him on everything from No Child Left Behind to gay rights as she asks, "How do you sleep when the rest of us cry? How do you dream while a mother has no chance to say goodbye?" Though she may turn off some for wearing her politics on her sleeve, there's no denying her artistry on this song.
Another notable track is hidden track title "I Have Seen The Rain", a duet by Pink and her father, James T. Moore. The two of them harmonize the song in one take. This song written by James about Vietnam veteran.
Overall, this album is not a downer and each track is distinctive from each other. "I'm Not Dead" is co-written and executive produced by Pink. She's maturing and as both artist and individual without forgetting her pop root.
Worth Listen To:
1. Who Knew
2. Nobody Knows
3. Dear Mr President
4. U & Ur Hand
5. Conversation with My 13 Year Old Self
6. I Have Seen The Rain
Track To Watch Out For:
1. Cuz I Can
2. Fingers (I hope someone will remix this track, awesome to be play in the club)
3. The One That Got Away
You will like this album if on your shelf you got:
1. Kelly Clarkson
Feel Good Rating: 4 out of 5

puracane

As you can see, since I've created my own radio station. Since then, I've been listening a lot to non-familiar artiste. One of them that I've found is puracane. So i begun on my quest to dig on who is puracane is.
Puracane began as a duo in 1999. British-born vocalist Ali Rogers and producer David Biegel co-wrote the album 'Things you should leave alone', released by Ubiquity records in 2000. Ali Rogers decided to take the project from the studio to a live act and in 2000 Puracane played shows with Sting and Duran Duran and in 2001 with Jane's Addiction and Depeche Mode. Puracane's music is featured in the film Driven and on Smallville, Felicity, Road Rules and Real World. Today Puracane are Ali Rogers on vocals, Juan Masotta on guitar and electronics, Drew Thurlow on bass, Andrew Griffiths on drums and Brett O'Mara on violin. The band just released a new album: 'In Limbo', a collection of songs composed and produced by several satellite members during Puracane's hiatus. "In Limbo" is now available at www.puracane.com , and soon it will be coming to the itunes store, CDbaby and other major music retailers. (Taken from www.myspace.com/puracane)
Big fans of Tri Hop genre raving about this group. Uniquness of Ali Rogers' voice are commendable and deserved two thumbs up. However, at the moment their album are downloadable via iTunes/podcast.
